Dr. Pfaffernoschke joins the Executive Committee following his successful tenure as Managing Director of Safic-Alcan Deutschland GmbH and Safic-Alcan Switzerland AG, where he has led the DACH region since 2019. His career spans product development, technical service, and commercial leadership within the chemical industry, positioning him as a key contributor to Safic-Alcan’s continued growth and value creation for partners.
A Proven Leader to Drive Strategic Growth
Since joining Safic-Alcan in 2019 as Head of Sales – Performance Products, Dr. Pfaffernoschke has driven initiatives that expanded the group’s footprint and strengthened its market leadership in critical regions.
Before joining Safic-Alcan, he held senior positions at SICPA, AkzoNobel/National Starch (now Nouryon), and Synthomer, managing global businesses across Personal Care, HI&I (Home, Industrial & Institutional), and Coatings. Starting his career as a research chemist in printing inks, he brings a rare mix of technical depth and strategic insight.
A native Berliner, Dr. Pfaffernoschke holds a degree in Polymer Chemistry from the Technical University of Berlin and an MBA from SBS-Swiss Business School in Zurich. Outside his professional life, he is a dedicated rower, runner, and reader, sharing his passion for Berlin’s waterways with his wife and supporting their two children in their careers.
