For the past five years, Ingredion’s pharma and nutraceutical business has expanded its product portfolio while making significant investments. This includes two strategic developments: the acquisition of Amishi Drugs & Chemicals (AD&C) and the purchase of a majority position in Mannitab Pharma Specialties. These investments strengthen Ingredion’s capabilities in superdisintegrants, lubricants and viscosifiers, as well as fine mannitol and spray-dried mannitol for direct compression—complementing its portfolio of starch and dextrose offerings.
Ingredion’s portfolio of functional excipients includes binders, fillers, superdisintegrants, lubricants, gelatine replacers for softgels, viscosifiers, encapsulation materials and parenteral-grade dextrose.
Ingredion manufactures these highly functional materials under stringent pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and supports customers with regulatory expertise and collaborative technical support. Ingredion Pharma Solutions also operates two laboratories in the USA and India to support customers globally.
