SURLYN™ PC-2000 REN is a high-performance Surlyn ionomer resin developed by Dow for injection-molded cosmetic and fragrance packaging. Produced from renewable feedstocks — including bio-waste such as used cooking oil (UCO) — it delivers the same exceptional material properties as conventional Surlyn grades while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
Outstanding optical and mechanical properties
As a Surlyn ionomer, PC-2000 REN offers crystal-clear transparency and a premium high-gloss finish, making it the material of choice for perfume caps, cream jars, and personal care closures. Its ionic crosslink structure provides superior scratch resistance, excellent chemical resistance, and outstanding environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) — without the need for a water bath during processing.
