SURLYN™ 1705 is a zinc-based Surlyn ionomer resin from Dow, designed for sealant applications in flexible packaging. Compatible with blown film, cast film, sheet extrusion, extrusion coating, and coextrusion processes, it addresses a broad range of end markets including food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, personal care packaging, and glass container lidding. SURLYN™ 1705 combines very high hot tack performance, excellent clarity, low seal initiation temperatures, and reliable low-temperature toughness, making it a strong choice for converters seeking consistent sealing performance across demanding packaging structures.
