Introduce yourself...When and why did you join ChemSpec? What made you consider joining us?

My Name is Marx Pion, Technical Sales Manager for the North-East Cosmetics division. I am a Dominican New Yorker with a bachelor's in Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry. I am married with 2 kids and have a passion for cosmetic science. I have been with ChemSpec since 2019 and since then they have offered me support and space to grow in my transition from cosmetic scientist to technical sales, guiding me and supporting me as I transition from the lab into technical sales.

What is something curious or funny we should know about you? (your hobbies, passions, etc.)

In my free time, I love watching baseball, and playing golf and love a relaxing afternoon smoking a cigar on my balcony. My vacation is usually spent travelling to different wine regions with my family and friends.

What is your favourite story from your time at ChemSpec?

During my first trip to HQ, after a day of meetings and training, the entire team went to help and prepare food baskets for an organization called Blessing in a Backpack, an organization that gifts food baskets to children in elementary schools around the country. It was an amazing experience because we took time as part of our team-building to help an organization that helps feed so many children in need around the country.

What is one main takeaway candidates wanting to join ChemSpec should know and look forward to? 

ChemSpec is truly an amazing place to work. We are a big family at work, and we can all count on each other when we need help.
