Plasdone™ S-630 ULTRA (991667) is a multipurpose excipient. It also functions as a binder, solubilizer/solid dispersion carrier and film former in a variety of pharmaceutical formulations.
Benefits:
- It is a 60:40 random, linear copolymer produced by the free radical polymerization of N-vinyl-2-pyrollidone and vinyl acetate
- Offers excellent water solubility, adhesion, film forming and solubilization properties due to pyrrolidone ring
- Reduces glass transition temperature (Tg) and hygroscopicity
- It is suitable for hot melt extrusion (HME)
- Complies with EP, JP, ChP and USP/NF specifications
Typical Applications:
Designed to provide better performance in tablet formulations. It is also suitable for oxidative sensitive and moisture sensitive APIs.
