Benefits:
- It is synthetic, insoluble, but rapidly swellable, crosslinked homopolymers of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone
- Enhances the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)
- Provides rapid disintegration in wet & dry granulation and direct compression tablet processes
- It can combine multiple mechanisms to achieve disintegration at low use levels
- It swells without forming gels that can slow tablet disintegration or dissolution
- Increases tablet breaking force and reduces friability
- It is available in Type A and Type B crospovidone grades
