Safic-Alcan expands its presence in Brazil with the acquisition of Colormix Indústria e Comércio de pigmentos LTDA

Paris-La Défense, June 2 2026 – Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, announces that it has fully acquired Colormix Indústria e Comércio de pigmentos LTDA (Colormix Especialidades), a leading distributor of specialty chemicals for the coatings, plastics, and life sciences sectors in Brazil.

While Colormix Especialidades was founded in 2010, their team brings over 40 years of expertise in the chemicals market. The company, headquartered in Barueri, São Paulo, has established itself as a leading reference in specialty chemicals in Brazil, serving 1,500+ active customers across the coatings, plastics, and life sciences sectors, with a portfolio of more than 1,700 active products. Colormix Especialidades operates from a 7,350 m² facility strategically located less than 100 km from the port of Santos, Brazil’s main import hub.

This acquisition is a key step in Safic-Alcan’s strategy to strengthen our footprint in Latin America, expand collaboration with key principals in the region and grow our Coatings platform.
