Thickener and stabilizer for personal care products. It is used in creams, lotions, shower gels, shampoos, shaving foams, face masks and make-up. Shelf life: 3 years.
Benefits:
- It is a natural occurring, high-molecular weight polysaccharide produced by fermentation from Xanthomonas campestris
- Provides highly pseudoplastic rheological properties (shear thinning) and non-thixotropic flow behavior
- Imparts low viscosity during processing but high viscosity after shearing, even at low concentrations
- Offers excellent suspending properties for suspensions, emulsions and foams
- Improves texture and imparts a pleasant skin feel
- Shows synergistic interaction with galactomannans, such as guar, locust bean and tara gum
- It is compatible and stable in wide pH (high salt, acid & alkaline solutions) & temperature range and is resistant to enzymatic degradation
- It is soluble in cold and hot water
- It is free of enzymatic activities such as amylases and cellulases, making it suitable for combinations with starch & celluloses
- It is GMO-free and not tested on animals
- Complies with COSMOS, Humane Cosmetics Standard (HCS), FDA 21 CFR 172.695, 1223/2009/EC and EU Eco-Regulation 834/2007/EC
