La Défense – March 31st, 2026 – Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals,
announces that it has acquired 100% of Deveraux Specialties, LLC, a leading specialty ingredients
distributor serving the cosmetic and personal care industry in the United States.
Founded in 1998 by Andrea Deveraux Jones and headquartered in Sylmar, California, Deveraux
Specialties has built a strong reputation over more than 25 years as a trusted supplier of natural,
functional, and future-friendly specialty ingredients. With a portfolio of 550+ active products and
260+ active customers – they primarily serve Beauty and Personal Care brands and contract
manufacturers across the United States.
The acquisition will be carried out through ChemSpec USA, Safic-Alcan's existing US entity, and
marks a significant step in the Group's strategy to expand its Personal Care platform across North
America. Deveraux Specialties and ChemSpec are expected to merge within the coming year,
creating a broader national footprint with enhanced capabilities and a strengthened sales team.
