About
PAT-ADD FL 9 is a liquid flow and anti-cratering additive for industrial solvent-borne coatings and inks. It is also a very efficient film surface tension modifier. Shelf life: 24 months.
Benefits:
- Exhibits defoaming activity and contributes to the formation of smooth films
- Free from imperfections, such as pinholes, orange peel, waviness, benard cells, poor substrate coverage and craters
- Ensures high distinctness of image (DOI)
- Ensures high transparency in lacquers and clears
- Active solids are thermally stable
- Improves flow at the top-layer of the drying film through adjustment of viscosity (contributing to optimal rheological behavior)
- Equalizes surface tension variations across the paint film
- May be used alone or in conjunction with strong film surface tension reducing levelling agents, such as Pat-Add LE 1010 or LE 1020 when additional film surface tension reduction is required
- Silicone- and fluorine-free
Typical Applications:
It is effective in a wide range of paint formulations including 2K, stoving enamels, can coatings and air-dry industrial paints based on EP, acrylics, TPA, NC and PE
