Effective 18 September 2026, Safic-Alcan becomes the distributor of Sincol Corporation organic pigments in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Nordics and the Baltics, taking its European coverage from 4 to 15 countries.
Paris-La Défense, 18 September 2026 - Safic-Alcan, a leading global specialty chemicals distributor, and Sincol Corporation, a manufacturer of organic pigments, have extended their European distribution partnership.
From 18 September 2026, Safic-Alcan is the official distributor of Sincol Corporation organic pigments in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The extension takes Safic-Alcan's Sincol territory from 4 to 15 European countries. Safic-Alcan has distributed Sincol organic pigments in France and the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg) since September 2023, and in Canada since 2024.
The portfolio
Safic-Alcan supplies the full Sincol organic pigment range across three application areas:
- Coatings: decorative and industrial finishes, architectural coatings, powder coatings, automotive refinish and road marking paints, in both waterborne and solvent-borne systems.
- Printing inks: liquid inks (aqueous, nitrocellulose, PU, PVB, UV curing) and paste inks (sheet-fed, cold set, heat set, metal decorating, screen).
- Plastics and rubber: polyolefins, PVC, PS, PUR and rubber compounds.
The range covers the yellow, orange, red, rubine, violet, blue and green shade spaces under the Sincol, Sinfast, Sindo, Sinco, Sincar, Sinlake, Sintone and Sindcon brand names, and spans monoazo, diarylide, benzimidazolone, bisacetoacetarylide, disazo condensation, quinacridone, diketopyrrolopyrrole, naphthol AS, copper phthalocyanine and dioxazine chemistries.
Why it matters for formulators
A significant part of the range is specified as a heavy-metal-free alternative to lead chromate and molybdate pigments. Grades such as Sinfast Yellow 83, Sinfast Yellow 151, Sinfast Yellow 180, Sinfast Yellow 191 and Sinfast Orange 36 are positioned as middle chrome, lemon chrome and molybdate orange replacements, offering the opacity, heat stability and weather fastness that lead-free industrial finishes require. For plastics processors, high heat stability grades address the temperature limits that restrict conventional diarylide pigments to 200°C.
Customers in the 11 new countries gain access to Safic-Alcan's local sales and technical teams, European stock and regulatory support, combined with Sincol's application laboratories in Nanjing (China) and Stockport (United Kingdom).
