About
PAT-ADD RU 02 is used as a liquid corrosion inhibitor in waterborne paints. It also acts as oxygen scavenger. It is used to inhibit in-can corrosion, flash-rusting and exposed dry paint. Shelf life: 12 months.

- Combats corrosion formation on iron substrates at various stages
- Prevents flash rusting and formation of rust spots during film formation
- It also prevents in-can rust formation and minimizes paint discoloration caused by rust particle contamination
- It is easily workable and liquid additive
- Supports permanent film corrosion inhibition
- Shows strong interaction onto iron surfaces, thus passivating the surface from oxidation
- Inhibits rusting by formation of an anionic passivated layer and reducing oxygen concentration in liquid paint
- It is typically used in conjunction with permanent corrosion inhibitive pigments for corrosion protective coatings
Typical Applications:
Designed for use in a wide range of waterborne architectural, protective, marine, wood and industrial paints. It is suitable for WB dispersion-, epoxy- and PE- paint systems.
