ACRYSOL™ RM-7
About
ACRYSOL™ RM-7 is a versatile hydrophobically modified alkali-soluble emulsion (HASE) thickening agent designed for water-based latex coating applications.
Benefits:
- It is an APEO and solvent-free
- Offers a near-Newtonian rheology profile with lower low-shear viscosity and higher high-shear viscosity than cellulosic thickeners
- Provides an excellent balance of flow, leveling, and film build properties
- Suitable for use in low-VOC, non-flat waterborne paint formulations based on 100% acrylic polymer emulsions
- Delivers broad latex compatibility
- Available as a high-solids, low-viscosity liquid to facilitate ease of use in manufacturing
- Provides easy handling and incorporation
- Supports a wide range of sheen levels, including high-gloss paints
Typical Applications:
Recommended for industrial baking enamels, general industrial finishes, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), architectural, interior and exterior coating applications. Also used in paper finishing and art conservation applications.
