OROTAN™ 963

OROTAN™ 963 is a polyacid pigment dispersant for waterborne paints.

Benefits:

• It is versatile, non-foaming and water soluble
• Effective over a pH range of 7 to 10 with a wide temperature range
• Supplied at 30% solid in ammonia form
• Highly compatible with anionic HASE type rheology modifiers
• Offers excellent heat-age and viscosity stability
• Exhibits excellent color acceptance with glycol and water dispersed colorants including hard to disperse pigments such as red iron oxide
• For maximum water resistance, it should be formulated with hydrophobic copolymer OROTAN dispersants
• It has high efficiency, water resistance and broad formulating range
• Provides low formulation cost, excellent color compatibility and low foaming in mill-base
• It has ability to formulate for good scrub resistance and wet adhesion
• Recommended for low sheen flat through semi-gloss acrylic, styrene-acrylic and vinyl acrylic formulations
• No formaldehyde or formaldehyde generators are added intentionally

Typical Applications:

Ideal for wide range of latex paint formulations. It can also be used in flat through semi-gloss formulations.
