ACULYN™ 38 Polymer is a rheology modifier and suspending agent suitable for various skin and hair care applications.
Benefits:
- It is an alkali-swellable anionic acrylic polymer emulsion (ASE)
- Lightly crosslinked to impart a short pseudoplastic flow
- It is a cold-processable liquid that instantaneously thickens upon neutralization providing ease of handling and increased manufacturing efficiency
- It is stable in the presence of sodium chloride and two common conditioning agents, Polyquaternium-7 and Polyquaternium-10 as well as polar solvents and zinc pyrithione
- It is articulate suspension with a well-established toxicological profile and is safe for use
- Stable in highly alkaline systems and compatible with polar solvents
- Exhibits short flow, divalent ion tolerance, excellent viscosity stability, flat pH/viscosity response and excellent high shear stability
- It is non-hygroscopic, easy to handle with lack of odor and little viscosity drift
- Yields clear gels and no predisolution is necessary
- Permits stable formulations with particulates
- Allows formulation of spreadable lotion products that flow readily from the container
- Suitable for continuous production processes with use of in-line static mixers
- It has ability to stabilize suspensions and is less sensitive to water hardness
- Does not promote or support contamination
- It is mild, soft, non-greasy and non-sticky
- Provides no watery feel upon skin contact
- Offers flexibility in choice of preservative system and improved pickup properties
- Supported by comprehensive environmental, health and safety data
- Preservative-, irradiation- and BSE/TSE-free
- Complies with cosmetic regulation (EC) No 1223/2009
Typical Applications:
Recommended for anti-dandruff shampoos and conditioning shampoos. It is also suitable for body washes and shower gels.
