Benefits:
- It is a monomeric long chain alkylfunctional silane
- Exhibits low volatility and viscosity which makes it easy to handle
- During its hydrolysis reaction with water, a certain amount of methanol (VOC) is released
- It exhibits superior hydrophobicity on substrates and forms weather-and moisture-resistant bonds to substrates as well
- It results in unique compound properties (better dispersion, high filler loading, enhanced mechanical properties, reduced water uptake) when Dynasylan® 9116 treated filler is incorporated into polymers (like polypropylene)
- Provides water proofing by impregnation when used as a water repellent
- Offers improved toughness in wollastonite-filled propylene which allows formulation of highly filled compounds
- Listed under EINECS/ELINCS, AICS, PICCS, TSCA, IECS and ECL
