ACULYN™ 33 Rheology Modifier is a cost-effective thickener and particulate suspending agent. Acts as a stabilizer for emulsifier-free emulsions.

- It is an alkali-swellable anionic acrylic polymer emulsion (ASE)
- Lightly crosslinked to impart a short pseudoplastic flow
- Particularly suited for formulations containing polar solvents and to stabilize suspensions
- Exhibits unique ease of use, wide compatibility, cost effectiveness and favorable balance of rheological properties
- It is a cold-processable liquid that instantaneously thickens upon neutralization providing ease of handling and increased manufacturing efficiency
- Compatible with peroxide and other oxidizing agents, electrolytes, polar solvents and zinc pyrithione
- It has a well-established toxicological profile and is safe in normal use
- It is a non-hygroscopic, particulate suspension and is stable in highly alkaline systems
- Exhibits short flow, divalent ion tolerance, excellent viscosity stability, flat pH/viscosity response and excellent high shear stability with lack of odor
- Offers little viscosity drift and no preparation is needed
- Allows for use of continuous production processes with use of in-line static mixers
- Permits stable formulations with particulates
- It has ability to stabilize suspensions and is less sensitive to water hardness
- Does not promote or support contamination
- It is mild, soft, non-greasy and non-sticky
- Provides no watery feel upon skin contact and flexibility in choice of preservative system
- Provides improved pickup properties and allows formulation of spreadable lotion products that flow readily from the container
- Supported by comprehensive environmental, health and safety data
- It is also suitable for stable and viscous formulation
Typical Applications:
Recommended for astringents, cleansers, depilatories, lotions (body, cleansing, hand), makeup creams & lotions, opaque and pearlescent shampoos, peroxide-containing formulations (hair dyes, hand disinfectants, permanent wave neutralizers and solvent gel.
