From banking to supply chain: a career built on learning
Georgina joined Safic-Alcan in 2014, attracted by the opportunity to work within a global organisation and to challenge herself professionally. She initially joined the Customer Service team in the Cosmetics department, where she developed a strong understanding of customer needs and internal processes.
In 2018, she moved to the Purchasing and Logistics Department, expanding her expertise across supply chain operations. Since then, she has continuously developed her skills, notably by contributing to digitalisation projects, gaining exposure to cross-functional initiatives and modern supply chain practices.

Purchasing and logistics naturally sit at the crossroads of the organisation. Georgina works closely with suppliers, subsidiaries and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication throughout the supply chain.
She is also an active member of Safic-Alcan’s Supply Chain group, where teams across countries share best practices, develop joint projects and collectively improve processes.

Based in Barcelona, Georgina enjoys walking to the office whenever possible — a simple habit that helps her start the day with energy and perspective.
Outside of work, she is passionate about mountain activities, especially trekking and cycling, often shared with her family. Photography is another important part of her life: each year, she creates a photo album capturing the best moments of trips and adventures — a personal tradition she has maintained for years.
