.Avid reader and musician, meet Marc !

Introduce yourself...When and why did you join Safic-Alcan? What made you consider joining us?

After several years of experience in laboratories of chemistry as PhD and post-doctoral researcher, I joined the quality assurance and regulatory affairs department of the pharma team of Safic in the year 2017. I am attracted by the way that Safic can promote the value of their people and their partners, and the variability of challenges we face every day.

How do experience your relationship with other collaborators, partners, principals or customers?

As the manager of the QARA department, I have a very close collaboration with all other services of the pharma team. Together with everyone we make our contribution to finding out smart solutions to different problems and assure the compliance of our activity with the regulatory requirement and customers’ needs.

Example: We established several analytical workshops in customers’ laboratories to find out suitable actions to be put in place to resolve difficulties met by customers in product analysis.

What is something curious or funny we should know about you? (your hobbies, passions, etc)

I like reading books of fantasy which bring me to an exciting unknown world. Playing guitar is another thing I enjoy a lot in my daily life. Although I am not good at singing, it’s fun to have my daughter do it beside me while I am playing.

Respect, honesty, transparency, and trust are very important for a very good working relationship. I find these values within SAFIC-ALCAN, but also with suppliers and customers.

How do you try to incorporate Safic values of Commitment, Differentiation, Ethics, Trust & Reliability, Sustainable Development, Team Work, Transparency in your day-to-day work.

The home office is changing a lot in the way we communicate with each other but we still try the maintain the best of us. We make special online evens to celebrate birthdays of colleagues and we have virtual cocktail for the new year.

Do you have any illustrative fun/light stories to share from your time at Safic-Alcan?

With the Covid situation, I am missing something important: people! I can’t wait to lunch again in restaurants with my colleagues or to enjoy happy afterwork moments or dinner with partners and colleagues during an exhibition show.

What is the one main takeaway candidates wanting to join Safic-Alcan should know and look forward to?

Join us and you if you like developing your skill and knowledge by having versatile daily challenges.
