About
SPHERILEX® AC 45 is a spherical precipitated calcium silicate designed to improve corrosion resistance when added to a coating formulation. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
Benefits:
- It is a spherical precipitated calcium silicate
- Offers improved corrosion resistance
- Provides very good hardness and scratch resistance
- Exhibits typical calcium content (CaO%) between 6.5-7.5%
- Has relatively low oil absorption
- Improves abrasion resistance of cured coating
- It shows good absorptive capacity and mar and burnish resistance with smooth surface profile
Typical Applications:
Ideal for marine-, protective-, metal- and powder coatings. It is suitable for solvent borne, direct grind and water borne systems.
